Do I need to make reservations?

Yes. The city of New Orleans regulates the tour guide industry and places a numerical limit on the number of guests each guide can lead at one time. If you do not make reservations, we cannot guarantee we will have an available tour guide as we only schedule according to our reservations list. You can make reservation by booking on our website or calling 504.413.3120.

Why do you require a 48-hour advance reservation with groupon vouchers?

Groupon is unique as a 3rd-party seller in that we receive no communication from Groupon that you have purchased our tickets. We do not know you exist until you call or go online to make reservations. In order to ensure we can accommodate everyone, we require 48 hours advance notice. Occasionally, we can make an exception, but if you require a specific time and day, it is best you call at least 48 hours before desired tour departure.

Do you give discounts for groups?

Yes. The more people in your party, the bigger the discount.

Where do we meet for our tour?

We meet at the corner of Royal and Conti Streets, directly across from Latrobe’s restaurant.

Why can’t we go on a nighttime cemetery tour?

The cemetery is owned and operated by the Catholic Archdiocese and they control the hours. The hours are Monday through Saturday until 3pm and until 12:00pm on Sundays and so not only do we not go at night, no other tours can either.

Why do you charge an additional $1 per person for the cemetery tours? Or, why don’t you include the $1 in the price of my ticket?

Part of this answer is found by taking the 3n1 Cemetery tour. The short answer is that this is not our fee, it is a fee imposed by the Archdiocese for their cemetery fund after recent grave desecration.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel 72 hours or more in advance, you can get a full refund. Anything else is handled on a case by case basis. Private Carriage tours have a non-refundable deposit.

What is your refund policy?

We have a strict no refund policy. If you no show, there is also a $5 per person rebooking fee.

I submitted my voucher online, but, haven’t received the next email. What do I do?

Why can’t I get through on the phone?

If you are having trouble getting through on the phone, then you are calling during a very busy period. You have several options, try again in 10 minutes, wait for us to return the missed call or email us at info@witchesbrewtours.com or reservations@witchesbrewtours.com.

What times are your tours?

We have tours daily at 9am, 10am, 11am, 5pm and 8pm. Monday through Saturday we also have a 1:30pm tour and a 4pm tour Thursday through Sunday.

How early should we arrive?

You should plan to arrive 30-minutes prior to scheduled departure time. We leave on the hour. If you miss the tour, you will only be able to rebook. You cannot catch up to a tour already in progress. Aside from the liability issues, it is also rude for you to interrupt the guests already on the tour.

Do you cancel tours for rain or other bad weather?

Rarely. Flooding, Tropical Storms, Hurricanes, Fires and Cloud to Ground Lightning within the French Quarter are the only reasons a tour would be cancelled. We do not cancel for rain, cold, snow, sleet or other inclement weather.

Do you charge a rebooking fee?

Yes. $5 per person and it is applicable to any booking that did not book directly through our website or over the phone.

Can we just show up at the meeting location?

No! The city of New Orleans enforces a legal limit of people each tour guide can take out. If you just show up, it is quite possible we will not be able to accommodate you. The ticket cost for walk-up with no reservations is $25 per person.

Are the tours appropriate for children?

The honest answer is that it depends on the child and parents will know their children better than us. What we can tell you is the 4-in-1 Haunted Tour is PG13 and the 3in1 is rated PG. The Aphrodisiac tour is open to guest 21 and over only.

Why can’t I book a haunted carriage or airboat tour online?

Those are through our partner companies and are not booked through our reservation system. If you are interested in booking either of those tours, please call us and we will be happy to provide the details as well as assist with booking. 504.413.3120

How far in advance do you accept reservations?

One year in advance.

Are you open on holidays?

We are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Mardi Gras Day. On other holidays, we may be operating with a limited tour schedule due to closures of cemeteries and other businesses. If you are interested in a tour on a holiday, it is best to call to confirm availability.
